So we gave one student a unique opportunity- to have their rent covered for the rest of the academic year, all for the price of a burrito - so long as they agreed to have their kitchen transformed into a Taco Bell.
‘Tacommodation’ brought the magic of Taco Bell to the home. The digs were kitted out with details found in the restaurants - menu boards, ordering screens, and reusable cutlery and sauce packets.
We unveiled the transformation on TikTok, picking up 12m reach in national PR coverage and igniting brand love amongst the dedicated student community.
With tight budgets, The Or has worked on a playbook for the brand that places experimentation, speed and hacking at its centre. This has enabled Taco Bell to stay popular despite a hugely lighter marketing spend versus its goliath competitors.
