The famed festival of creativity and technology, South by Southwest (SXSW) needed a campaign to generate excitement, educate and drive sign ups in the run up to their London launch in June 2025.
The approach was based around a simple but strong insight about the festival. While most creative events celebrate work that has been, SXSW London celebrates what will be. It’s a festival of the future, of unknowns. Leaning into the unique vibrancy of SXSW, which is a result of diverse disciplines and sharp minds coming together, the campaign presented a series of beautiful collisions. A mix of European languages and the fluorescent colours of Shoreditch markets differentiated SXSW London from its Austin-based sister event.
The campaign returned £5M ROI in revenue value against ticket sales and a 147% increase on our set campaign KPIs; all with a minimum paid media spend. The launch generated 139 pieces of press coverage.
