Decoding intentionality in modern dating for Hinge.

We worked with Hinge to explore the changing meaning of intentionality in modern dating. Combining cultural research with semiotic analysis, we examined how intentionality is understood, expressed and signalled, from the language people use to the behaviours, codes and rituals that communicate romantic intent.

The research identified emerging shifts in dating culture and built a richer picture of what intentional dating means to a new generation.
